The once very established notion that I would be absolutely terrible at taking care of another living thing is starting to ebb.

The winter white dwarf that has taken residence in a large ventilated acrylic box in my living room since the year before last is still alive and feisty, and (some of) the new leafy tenants that now line a shelf in the living room have put out new leaves.

It makes me think, I can. If I somehow do not die in the process, I can do it.
